what’s up with bab el 7ara

It is a sort of madness! I remember the time when people used to watch Cassandra on Syria’s channel. at that time I think all the  Jordanians watched it but us, because we didn’t have an antenna and didn’t buy one at that time ( as you know the antenna was the only way to get more than 2 channels in Jordan at that time). now we have more than 100 free Arabic channels but at the same time most of us decided to pick one channel and watch bab el 7ara. so can someone tell me what is so special about it? I didn’t watch the first part nor the second one and am not planning to watch the third one if they are going to make one in the future. Cause I have this strange thing with regard to TV and movies; I tend to not watch things that most people become insane about. I just watch it some other time. so maybe if they will broadcast bab el 7ara 10 years from now, maybe then I will watch it, maybe it will taste better at that time.

  1. I didn’t watch the 1st one and i’m not watching the 2nd one either. I don’t know what’s the big deal with this show. I’m not into this whole “ramadan tv shows” addiction. Simply not interested!

  10. Why people do like it?
Think about it, it shows how respectful children were to there family. Listening to the father, and specially in Jordan no offense to anybody. But in the recent years many changes been done to Jordan, and people think about the past, it reminds you of the life in Palestine also. The thowar in Palestine hiding the guns.

I believe FAMILY tie played a big part in this series.
